Database Cleaner: Clean, Optimize & Repair

Description

With a ton of features and the ability to handle even the largest of databases, Database Cleaner is built on years of experience with the other related plugins and the latest versions of WP and PHP. Thanks to its user-friendly interface, you’ll be able to easily navigate everything and make sure everything is just right. Plus, if you have a lot of work to be done, Database Cleaner uses asynchronous requests to tackle it slowly and steadily, helping to avoid errors and timeouts. You’ll find more information here: Database Cleaner.

IMPORTANT: Always create a backup of your data before using such a plugin! It works well, but better be safe than sorry! 🙂

Features

  • Easy and Expert modes.
  • Auto Clean button. Choose the items you’d like to clean automatically, and let the plugin do the job!
  • Keep statistics and historical data about your database size.
  • Allow you to browse your data to better understand it and to categorize it.
  • Handle oversized databases through asynchronous and decently sized requests.
  • User-friendly UI, solidly built, that will evolve with time.

What does it clean?

The usual, which are: Revisions, Auto-Drafts, Deleted Posts, Orphaned Post Meta, Orphaned Term Meta, Orphaned Term Relationships, oEmbed Caches, Unused Terms, Duplicated Term Meta, Duplicated Post Meta, Orphaned User Meta, Duplicated User Meta, Unapproved Comments, Spammed Comments, Deleted Comments, Orphaned Comments Data, Duplicated Comments Data, Expired, Transients, All Transients.

Database Cleaner also gives you specific tools to analyze and check how your data is used for:

  • Post Types
  • Tables
  • Options
  • Cron Jobs

Database Cleaner use its own references and analysis to figure out by which plugins or themes your data is used. An even better support of this feature is supported in the Pro Version.

Why this plugin?

There are other database cleaners. I used them, but I always found them were imperfect, with old UI, too many missing (or half-cooked) features, limited ways to look into the data. The worse for me is that none of them can actually can handle big databases! Based on all those issues, I craft my own, and here is the result. And now, I am working hard to make it the best for all of you, and for all kinds of WordPress and databases.

Any feedback? I am here 🙂 I would love to talk with you and make Database Cleaner better for you.

I absolutely love the Database Cleaner plugin! It has been an amazing tool for cleaning, optimizing, and repairing my WordPress database. This plugin is incredibly easy to use and has helped me to keep my website running smoothly and efficiently. One of the things that I appreciate most about this plugin is the level of control that it provides. With just a few clicks, I am able to clean up unnecessary data, optimize my database tables, and even repair any errors that may be present. In addition to its functionality, I have also been impressed with the level of support that the developer provides. Any questions or issues that I have had have been promptly addressed, and the developer has been incredibly helpful in ensuring that I get the most out of this plugin. Overall, I would highly recommend the Database Cleaner plugin to anyone who wants to keep their WordPress site running smoothly and efficiently. It is an incredibly powerful tool that is both easy to use and highly effective. Thank you to the developer for creating such an amazing plugin!

As a webhost this is my second favourite WordPress plugin. The first is Media Cleaner from the same developer. Rarely I give reviews but both his plugins are lifesaver and deserve it. Today I used this plugin to clean a database and database size from 1.2GB shrink to 50MB. Thank you Jordy.

I don't know about you, but if you've tried other database cleaners you quickly discover that you don't have enough information to decide if you can safely delete a table, or an entry in a table, or, well anything. This is not like the other plugins because you are able to see exactly what you are deleting and what plugin or function it belongs to. This is common sense and it's what you would expect, but for some reason, other plugins don't have this level of data, and that make all of the difference in the world. I never leave reviews for stuff like this but I'm hoping that people who were frustrated as I was, will be thankful when they stumble upon this great plugin. I personally always found it annoying with other plugins trying to figure out what I was actually deleting so I actually appreciate that somebody took the time to create a useful plugin. Anyway, i highly recommend this to anyone who wants an easy to use database plugin, that's well laid out, and it actually shows you what it's associated with the table/entry before you delete it. Thanks for making something that's useful and does what it claims to do.
