Phoenix Price Labels for WooCommerce

Description

Generate offline PDF price labels directly from your WooCommerce store for physical retail and shelf spaces. The plugin runs locally inside WordPress, with no cloud printing service and no per-label fees. Select products, choose a sheet preset, and download a ready-to-print A4 PDF.

Retail-first layouts include gross pricing, sale/regular text, and German unit price (PAngV) when your store provides unit price data (WooCommerce, German Market, Germanized, or configured meta).

Free Features

For licensed Pro installations

If your Pro license is already active, this plugin operates as a full production workflow without additional upsell steps. Focus areas in Pro include barcode-ready output, bulk category runs, offset-based sheet reuse, and extended layout/styling options for retail teams.

Premium-ready roadmap: Business Suite integration is planned for a later stage (currently targeted for late 2026). This roadmap is not a live feature yet.

FAQ

Does this plugin require an external cloud service?

No. PhoenixWP Price Labels generates PDFs on your own WordPress server. No external print API, cloud dependency, or per-label fee is required.

What printer hardware do I need?

A standard office printer for A4 or Letter paper is enough. This plugin is built for office printing and shelf layouts, not for thermal roll printers.

Is German unit price (PAngV) supported?

Yes. If your WooCommerce setup stores unit price data, the plugin can show Grundpreis on labels.

What is included in the Free version?

The Free package includes unlimited labels per run, three Avery layouts, two plain paper sizes (30/39 mm), and EAN/GTIN as text only (no barcode graphics, no Badgemaker presets).

How do I unlock scannable barcodes, category bulk tools, and Badgemaker support?

Upgrade to Price Labels Pro for 29 EUR / year at phoenixwp.com/preise/. Pro unlocks EAN-13/Code 128/QR graphics, visual style presets, category bulk tools, and Badgemaker 1451/1453 presets. After purchase, activate your license under PhoenixWP Price Labels -> License.

What changes when my Pro license is active?

The same plugin installation stays in place. Pro capabilities are enabled in your existing workflow, including barcode graphics, bulk category tooling, and advanced print controls.

Great plugin. Easy to use and works great for printed price tags. I'm going to try the Pro version too, because of the scan codes.

Changelog

1.3.4

  • Updated Freemius SDK to the latest version.
  • Confirmed compatibility with WordPress 7.1.3 and WooCommerce 11.2.1.

1.3.3

  • Fix: Pro bulk category list and category product query follow the Phoenix Language admin-bar scope.
  • Fix: “Clear bulk selection” no longer forces “Expand variable products to all variations” back on.

1.3.2

  • Multilingual: Native Phoenix Language product scope for picker search and Pro bulk (follows admin-bar language; “All languages” shows every clone).
  • Multilingual: Out-of-scope product IDs remap to the language sibling when linked.
  • Admin: Hint under the product picker explaining the active language scope.

1.3.1

  • Fix: Tighter title wrap on compact sheets (e.g. Badgemaker 1451) so rare wide titles no longer spill a few millimetres past the label edge.
  • Admin: Product picker sort A-Z / Z-A (default A-Z).
  • Pro scan codes: simplified settings – format (EAN-13 / Code 128 / QR), generate from (GTIN / SKU / product ID), optional fallback only when GTIN is selected but missing.
  • Fix: Scan codes render on labels and product overview when using QR or SKU/ID payloads (EAN-13 without GTIN digits falls back to Code 128; overview uses fitted graphics + encoded value text).
  • Fix: Local Freemius/premium/ installs load Pro PHP from premium/src (Composer previously preferred free src/, so scan codes never appeared).
  • Fix: Scan graphics fall back to SVG when PHP GD/Imagick is missing (PNG still preferred when available).
  • Fix: Product overview scan-code column no longer repeats SKU/ID text above the QR/barcode graphic.
  • Fix: Larger QR codes on the product overview list (18 mm square, no 30×10 letterboxing).
  • Admin: Remember Label sheet vs Product overview across nested settings saves and page reloads.
  • Fix: Label field toggles are also saved when saving unit price or scan code settings.
  • Admin: Enabling Stock forces product overview (label sheet output disabled).
  • Admin: Optional row numbers column on the product overview.
  • Fix: PDF print order follows the picker A-Z / Z-A sort for picker and bulk selections.

1.3.0

  • Layout budget: product name and price scale up when optional label fields are hidden or empty (better shelf readability).
  • Sheet-normalized title size: one title font size per sheet (driven by the longest title that still fits).
  • Without scan codes: title size matches the scan-layout budget so variation and unit price stay fully visible.
  • With scan codes: price grows only from real remaining slack; title, variation, unit price, and SKU sizes unchanged.
  • Price is always at least 2 pt larger than the product title.
  • Scan codes: 2 mm clearance below QR/barcode on compact label sheets.
  • Admin: short explanation of automatic title/price sizing at label fields.
  • Admin: Clear selection button for the product picker (and optional product IDs); Pro bulk selection can be cleared separately.
  • Admin: Last selected sheet layout is remembered until you change it.
  • Fix: On dual-title sheets, a single-line product title no longer reserves an empty second title row.
  • Fix: Product overview table borders no longer draw extra frames around cell content.

1.2.0

  • Pro: Print manually selected products multiple times – per-product quantity in the product picker (independent of bulk “labels per product”).
  • Fix: Reliable scan code layout on compact and Badgemaker label sheets (QR, EAN-13, and Code 128).
  • Admin: Product picker and bulk selection stay selected after saving unit price or scan code settings.

1.1.2

  • Fix: “Without GTIN” scan setting stays visible in all symbology modes and applies to non-GTIN products consistently.
  • Fix: clearer scan-code help text (GTIN payload vs. barcode format).
  • Fix: removed developer hook name from the bulk “Modified since” filter description.

1.1.1

  • Fix: Freemius Pro license activation – License_Bridge initializes after autoload so Pro features unlock correctly.
  • Fix: WooCommerce compatibility declaration restored (HPOS, cart/checkout blocks; tested up to WC 10.9.3).
  • Fix: Pro barcode field and scan-code settings appear when the license is active.
  • Pro admin: cleaner UI when licensed – single “Current license: Free/Pro” line, no redundant Pro badges on unlocked options.
  • Fix: product title wrapping on compact Avery and Badgemaker sheets (correct line-width estimate, 40 characters per line max to prevent bleed into adjacent labels).
  • Build: development-only UI removed from public Freemius distribution ZIP.

1.1.0

  • Confirmed compatibility with WooCommerce 10.9.1.
  • Pro: Shop-wide scan symbology – automatic (GTIN rules), always Code 128, or always QR.
  • Pro: With GTIN – EAN-13 or selected format (Code 128 / QR); without GTIN – SKU or product ID.
  • Product overview PDF includes scan graphics (same rules as label sheets).
  • Readme: retail-first marketing copy (Free/Pro matrix).

1.0.1

  • wordpress.org readiness: Free/Pro physical split (Option A); separate wp.org Free ZIP and Freemius Pro ZIP.
  • Freemius: is_premium => false, has_premium_version => true for directory compliance.
  • Free package: Avery + plain paper only; Pro features (barcode, bulk, Badgemaker, styles) absent from org ZIP.

1.0.0

  • Launch release: offline PDF price labels for WooCommerce. Tested on WordPress 7.0 and WooCommerce 10.8.1.

  • Product overview sheet for retail staff.
  • Unit price (PAngV) provider chain for German shops.
  • Configurable label fields (Free + Pro tiers).
  • Freemius licensing for Pro: barcode, visual styles, Badgemaker, category bulk, offset print, unlimited labels.
  • Standalone admin menu, License submenu, and manual license key entry (no Core required).
